Persimmon
- Nature and Flavor: Sweet, cold, astringent, non-toxic.
  - Persimmon Frost: Sweet, neutral.
  - Persimmon Calyx: Bitter, astringent, slightly warm.

- Functions and Effects: Nourishing the lungs, clearing heat, relieving alcohol intoxication, harmonizing the stomach, lubricating the intestines, stopping bleeding.

- Auxiliary Treatment: Used as an auxiliary treatment for local goiter, hemorrhage, camphor oil poisoning, childhood dysentery, nausea and vomiting, hiccup, pregnancy-induced vomiting, throat swelling, and spleen deficiency with poor appetite.

- Dietary Therapy Recipes:

1) Local Goiter: Take fresh unripe persimmons, mash them, and consume the juice.
2) Hemorrhage:
   i. Take 12 grams of charred persimmon calyx, grind into powder, and take with yellow wine once a day.
   ii. Take 30 grams of persimmon cakes and 50 grams of brown sugar, and consume.
3) Camphor Oil Poisoning: When experiencing persistent vomiting, chew and consume 120 grams of dried persimmon cakes.
4) Childhood Dysentery: Grind glutinous rice and dried persimmons into powder, mix and steam into cakes for consumption.
5) Nausea and Vomiting: Take 2 persimmons, chop them, mix with rice, steam together, and consume continuously for 2 days.
6) Hiccup:
   i. Take 6 grams of persimmon frost, dissolve in hot water, and consume.
   ii. Take 10 persimmon calyx, decoct in water and drink as tea.
7) Pregnancy-Induced Vomiting: Take 30 grams of persimmon calyx and 60 grams of rock sugar, decoct in water and consume.
8) Throat Swelling: Dissolve 3 grams of persimmon frost in warm water, and consume three times a day.
9) Spleen Deficiency with Poor Appetite: Take 1500 grams of persimmons, 500 grams of suet, and 250 grams of honey. Fry the suet and honey, add persimmon cakes and boil for more than ten times. Consume 3-4 cakes on an empty stomach daily.
10) Pertussis: Take one persimmon and 6 grams of fresh ginger. Chop the ginger, insert it into the persimmon cake, and bake. Consume afterward.

Note:
- Persimmons should not be consumed together with crabs.
- Individuals with weak and cold stomach, spleen deficiency with diarrhea, excessive phlegm dampness, cold-induced vomiting, respiratory system diseases, or malaria should avoid consuming persimmons.
