Mushroom Silken Tofu - Recipe and Cooking Method
Ingredients:
- Silken tofu: 1000 grams
- Water-soaked mushroom slices: 50 grams
- Clear broth: 500 milliliters
Seasonings:
- Chopped green onion: 0.5 grams
- Minced garlic: 1 gram
- Crushed roasted peanuts: 10 grams
- Chopped cilantro: 5 grams
- Minced beef: 30 grams
- Chili oil: 20 grams
- Sesame paste: 20 grams
- Sichuan peppercorns: as needed
- Soy sauce: 40 milliliters
- Sesame oil: 20 grams
Instructions:
1. Bring the clear broth to a boil.
2. Add silken tofu and mushroom slices, and continue cooking until fully cooked.
3. Serve in a bowl.

Supplement: Method of Making Silken Tofu:
The process of making silken tofu is very simple. First, soak and wash the soybeans with water. Then, put the soybeans in clean water and grind them into a fine slurry using a mill or blender. Pour the soy milk into a cloth bag and filter out the residue, leaving behind pure soy milk.
In addition, soak the refined gypsum powder in clean water and pour it into a wooden barrel. Boil the soy milk and slowly pour it into the gypsum water while gently stirring with a spoon. Cover the barrel and let it sit for about ten minutes until the soy milk solidifies into silken tofu.
